THE MYBLOCK MODEL OVERCOMES OBSTACLES OF LIMITED TIME, BUDGET, AND RESOURCES.

Easy to Adapt

A simple, flexible, and interdisciplinary curriculum can be taught within varying time frames and tailored to a variety of pre-existing curricula.

Low Cost

Working directly with your school to assess financial capacity, our program can adapt to a tight budget without impacting program quality or preventing a creative partnership.

Resources Provided

The MyBlock Camera Lending System and Visiting Filmmaker Program ensures that any teaching environment, regardless of access to equipment or personnel, can have a hands-on learning experience.

THE PROCESS

  1. An educator can apply for our services by filling out this simple and quick application.
  2. A MyBlock representative meets with your school to uniquely tailor the MyBlock experience to meet your goals.
  3. Receive video equipment and MyBlock education materials while a teaching artist conducts student workshops promoting video literacy and active citizenship.
  4. Students shoot, edit, and upload their MyBlock videos to The MyBlock Student Video Map, joining a diverse network of young filmmakers.
